Privacy Policy

Simple Tickets is operated by amonty Limited (“Simple Tickets”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14087784, registered office 62 Salisbury Avenue, St. Albans, England, AL1 4TU). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who this applies to
This policy covers two kinds of people who use Simple Tickets: organisers, who create an account to sell tickets to their events, and attendees, who buy a ticket without ever needing an account of their own.
What we collect
If you're an organiser: your name (if you provide it), email address, and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password ourselves). Once you connect to Stripe, we store the ID of your Stripe account, not any bank or card details.
If you're buying a ticket: the lead buyer's first name, last name (optional), and email address. If you add other people to the booking, we store their first name, last name (optional), and email (optional) too, so the organiser knows who's coming.
Payment details: we never see or store your card number. Card payments are entered directly into Stripe's own secure checkout page and go straight to the organiser's own Stripe account.
Why we collect it
To create and run your event page, to process ticket purchases and hold your spot while payment completes, to send confirmation emails, to let organisers see and manage who's coming to their own event, and to let organisers message their own attendees about their event (for example, if it's cancelled or the details change).
Who we share it with
- Stripe — processes all card payments and organiser payouts. Stripe sees payment details directly; we don't.
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles organiser sign-in.
- Resend — sends emails on our behalf (confirmations, broadcasts, account emails).
- Vercel — hosts the Simple Tickets website.
- The event's organiser — sees the name, email, and ticket details of everyone who buys a ticket to their event, since they need this to run it. If an organiser turns on the public guest list for their event, other attendees can also see the first names of people who've booked. If you tick the marketing box at checkout, the organiser can also see that and may contact you themselves about their own future events — see “Marketing from organisers” below.
We don't sell your data.
Marketing from organisers
At checkout, the lead buyer can optionally tick a box to hear about an organiser's own future events. This is entirely optional, off by default, and separate from anything needed to complete your purchase. If you tick it, the organiser can see that you've opted in and may contact you directly about their own future events — this is the organiser's own marketing, done independently of Simple Tickets, and they're responsible for how they use it and for handling any opt-out request you send them. Additional attendees added to a booking are never opted in on someone else's behalf — only the lead buyer, for themselves.
Where your data is processed
Some of the services above may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on their own compliance with UK data protection law (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses).
How long we keep it
We keep organiser account data for as long as the account is active. We keep purchase and attendee data for as long as the event's organiser needs it, and afterwards for as long as we need to for accounting, tax, and dispute-handling purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to restrict or object to how we use it. To do any of this, email hello@simpletickets.co.uk. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
Simple Tickets only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, so we don't show a cookie consent banner — UK law doesn't require one for these. Specifically: when you sign in as an organiser, our authentication provider, Supabase, sets a session cookie so you stay logged in as you move between pages, and a short-lived cookie during the sign-in process itself to keep it secure. Neither is used for tracking, analytics, or advertising, and we don't currently use any cookies that would need your consent. If that ever changes, we'll update this section and ask first.
Children
Simple Tickets isn't aimed at children, and organisers don't need to provide any attendee's date of birth or other sensitive details to use it. An attendee list may include a child's name if a parent or guardian books on their behalf, in the same way it would on a paper sign-up sheet.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
