Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Simple Tickets, operated by amonty Limited (“Simple Tickets”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14087784, registered office 62 Salisbury Avenue, St. Albans, England, AL1 4TU). By creating an event, buying a ticket, or otherwise using Simple Tickets, you agree to these terms.
What Simple Tickets is
Simple Tickets lets organisers create a page for their event and sell tickets to it. Organisers connect their own Stripe account; when someone buys a ticket, the payment goes directly to the organiser, not to us. We're a tool that helps organisers run their event — we're not a party to the sale between an organiser and their attendees, and we don't organise, run, or take responsibility for any event listed on Simple Tickets.
Organiser accounts
You need an account to create and manage events. You're responsible for keeping your account details and password secure, and for everything that happens under your account. You must give us accurate information about yourself and your events.
You're also responsible for your own compliance with data protection law regarding your attendees' details, including registering with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if that applies to you.
Fees
Simple Tickets charges a platform fee per ticket, taken automatically from each payment. The exact fee — which can vary over time and between organisers — is always shown to you in your account and before you publish each event, so you'll know the real figure before anyone's charged. Stripe charges its own separate processing fee on top, which we don't control and don't receive. Both fees are shown to you before you publish your event. amonty Limited is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to these fees.
If you cancel an event entirely, we'll waive our own platform fee on the affected tickets — get in touch at hello@simpletickets.co.uk and we'll sort it out. Stripe's own processing fee isn't something either of us can recover once a payment's been made; that's a cost of card processing, not a Simple Tickets decision.
Payments and refunds
Because payments go directly to your own Stripe account, you're the merchant of record for your event — refunding attendees, and deciding your own refund policy, is your responsibility, done through your own Stripe dashboard. We're not able to issue refunds on your behalf.
Cancelling an event
You can cancel your event at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops ticket sales immediately and can't be undone. It's your responsibility to refund and notify anyone who's already bought a ticket — cancelling prompts you to send a message to everyone who has, to make that easier.
Acceptable use
You won't use Simple Tickets for anything illegal, fraudulent, or for an event you don't genuinely intend to run. We can suspend or remove an event or account that breaks this.
Availability
We do our best to keep Simple Tickets running reliably, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Liability
We provide Simple Tickets as a tool for organisers; to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from an event itself, or from an organiser's own conduct, pricing, refund decisions, or failure to deliver their event. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow us to.
Ending your account
You can stop using Simple Tickets at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and continued use of Simple Tickets after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
